Hobdy (son of Arthur Hobdy) 9/9/1888. The license was filed for in Nashville. We know they had a baby boy to die in 1889, and they disappeared. She had 2 more children, Beuna Mae and Dohna, and died in 1895 when Beuna (my gggrandmother) was 3. I have her death notice that says she was buried in Parham Cemetery, and she was Catholic. He hired and eventually married Belle Garrett in 1899, and returned to Nashville until his death in 1921. Arbie's parents went to Galveston, Texas shortly before the 1900 storm, and were never heard from again. They wanted to take the girls with them, but Richard and Belle wouldn't agree. Richard and Belle never had children, but the girls called Belle Mama, and her sisters were their aunts. That's all I know. I have a lead on a daughter of one of the aunts, but that's all. We are definitely cousins through the Robert Hobdy line! Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
