Hi Friends, On the Sumner Co. TNGenWeb site, I have tax lists from 1787 to 1838 (with gaps). _http://www.rootsweb.com/~tnsumner/sumnlist.htm_ (http://www.rootsweb.com/~tnsumner/sumnlist.htm) You also might want to check out the Sumner County Archives website. They have transcribe the tax lists for 1787 - 1791 and 1793 - 1794. They even put it all in a nice alphabetical order. Or you can put the surname in you are searching for. _http://www.sumnertn.org/archives/bak_taxlistpage.asp_ (http://www.sumnertn.org/archives/bak_taxlistpage.asp) It is very difficult to read the handwriting on the tax lists. So use both resources. Good luck in your search. Diane Payne Sumner Co.
