My Wallace family ran one of the Toll houses for the turnpike. It was on the Old 31-E right before you come into Gallatin,TN (Sumner Co) There either 12-17 of these toll collection places between Nashville and KY and it is what is now 31-E. The old road going into Nashville before toll road was what is known as Long Hollow Pike. Still a winding much traveled road.
