Harrison was first married to Mary Cottingham and they had two children, James Franklin (who died in infancy) and Synthia Ann (who died around age 5). He was then married to Susan Ann SHORT, and they had the following children: Lutda L., James Wesley (the J.W. mentioned above), Sarah Frances, Mary Catherine, Nathan Ellsworth, Ovanda T., Ida May, Charlotte Belle, and Francis Marion. The mother in law listed on the 1880 census living in the J.W. McQuiston home would be his mother, Susan Ann Short McQuiston. Susan Ann could possibly have married a White after Harrison's death, and that could be where the name White comes into play, but I have found nothing to indicate that to be the case.
