Maybe he left home and you have the name and nothing else on him?/ My William shows TN birth on census for 1870,1880,1900,1910,1920 can't find him in 1860. I am checking Sumner and Macon Co TN because it is just across the state line from Allen Co KY and that is where he first married in 1867. Sometime after 1891 and before 1900 the family left KY. William is my brick wall and I sure would like to find a clue on who he was. If you are missing a William J. Cox, please contact me. Thanks, Jo Cox
