I have been researching northern Sumner County for almost 30 years. I would like to hear from anyone interested who would like to share there info of the Duffers and there allied families. That is so cool. My friend whom I'm helping is Brenda, the daughter of Ralph who is the son of Lonnie. Lonnie is Mary's brother, I believe. I've been searching my family history for 20 plus years but she is just beginning. Info she has shows that Lonnie married Lucille Harden but that's about all she knows about them...no dates of birth, death, marriage and no info on Lucille. Brenda has always been told she was Irish/ Scottish and Cherokee (and certainly looks the part) and is wondering if anyone in the family there in TN has any knowledge regarding the Native American family legend (at least on the Hunter side) along with any info any family member would be willing to share.
