    1. [TNSUMNER] Re: 1810 Census
    2. Pamela Vick
    3. Sherry, My understanding is that the White House was burned in 1810 but not other Federal buildings. I have never read anything about the 1810 Census records being burned but the 1890 Census records were burned and there are alot of articles on that. We'll see what others know about this subject. 1. [TNSUMNER] 1810 Census
    2. Someone out there may correct me, but I'm pretty sure the Federal Census of 1810 was burned during the War of 1812. There are, however, several lists relating to taxation, court records, cemetery records, etc. that might allow you to create a piecemeal picture of residents in the county during that time. Sherry

    1. [TNSUMNER] Re: access to family cemeteries
    2. You might check with Mrs. Yolanda Reid at Robertson County Archives at 615-382-8542. She's very smart about laws and the records she deals with and very kind. I think (we've been in this situation here in Robertson Co.) the law for Tennessee is that you have to be allowed access into and out of a cemetary regardless of where it is. I'm not positive but you should check with her. I can check with her tomorrow if you don't live around this area.
