I remember whin Uncle Ruebin was married to Nora and she was a Briley who she and Uncle Reubin Goostree married. he was my great uncle. He lived less then 1/2 mile from where I live. (Frey) Tate, born December 12, 1856 in Robertson County, died August 14, 1897, buried in Pleasant Grove Cemetery.Nora's father was Robert H. (Dock) Tate, born May 25, 1856 in Robertson County, died June 28, 1874, buried in Pleasant Grove Cemetery. Nora's siblings that I know of were; (1)Louella Tate (my great-grandmother), born August 16, 1876 in Robertson County, died September 14, 1956, buried in Pleasant Grove Cemetery. She married 1st Robert Lee Strickland (my Great-Grandfather), whom she is buried next to, 2nd a Swann, 3rd a Birdwell; (2) Mary Josephine Tate, born Feruary 18, 1878 in Robertson County (no other info); (3) Belinda Elizabeth Tate, born October 2, 1879, married Ned Boyles; (4) Dorothy Annette Tate, born March 5, 1882, married Henry Summers; (5) Robert Johnson Tate, born October 1, 1884 (no other info); (6)James Tilford Tate, born February 24, 1887, died 1944, buried in Pleasant Grove Cemetery, married L! ula Summers; (7) Ola Tate, born August 6, 1889, married Robert Richard Starks December 10, 1916 in Robertson County; (8) Henry Adam Tate, born January 30, 1894; I believe Nora married 1st Ruben Goosetree, 2nd John Briley, but these could have been reversed. Most of this information is in My Great-grandmother's Bible, which my aunt has. I do have much more information on Nora's ancestors, and will be glad to share. Hope this helps. Jimmie

    3. Thanks for you email. Both I and my husband are kinfolk of Goostree, we are both kin to Margaret (Maggie) Goostree who married James L. Jernigan. Her mother was WAS Hannah (Bell) Goostree who married Margaret (Maggie) father who WAS Watson J. Goostree .Watson J. and Hannah Bell) Goostree also 2other girls before Hannah Bell Goostree died in 1868. Then Watson J. Goostree married Frances Giblin of Franklin, KY. W. H. HILL of Sumner Co. enlisted in Co E of the 24th TN Reg. He was killed at the Battle of Shiloh April 1862. Does anyone know who he was? Was he William Hill born 1839, the son of Lewis and Isabell Whitson Hill? William Hill's brother Robert Gwynn Hill fought with Co E of the 24th for the whole 4 years of the War. OR was he the W. H. Hill listed on the 1860 Sumner Co Census, District 17, in the household of J. M. and Loucinda MASON I cannnot find any records that say what the 1st name of W. H. Hill was. I can't find records about either of these young men after the War. Thanks
