    3. Thanks to all of you, and I will pursue my research. I hadn't that that it might be on the "other side" of the Cumberland. County boundary did do a lot of changing back then and popular names for creeks and such did get changed. If I find the specific "Sink Creek" mentioned in the tax rolls for Sumner County ca. 1830, I'll post it. Cheers Mary

Elizabeth Garrison was born May 20, 1791 married James Chaney. Mary Garrison was born Feb. 20, 1780 and married William Chaney in maybe DeKalb or Smith Counties, TN. Both Mary and Elizabeth may have been born in North Carolina. If you come across something, would love to have it. There are severall Chaney researchers in my husband's like, but none of us can get past these two ladies.

According to the 1900 Census (Sumner cty): Devie married Beverly G. Rogers in 1889, they had 3 children: Effie A., Ida J. & Beverly G. Jr. . . . . then. . . . According to the 1910 Census (Sumner cty): Devie was married to Francis M. Dillard b. March 1867, and step children Ida 16 & Beverly 13 were living with them along with the Father-n-law Robert W. The other is Mary Garrison, daughter of Samuel Garrison and Lucinda Bethel who was born in 1809 but I have her married to a Vanatti and then a Casey. These are certainly common names in this family and there are many in the extended family as well. I will keep an eye out as I have noticed some Chaneys in the same censuses with these direct lines.

I find this in the censuses as I am searching and there are quite a few Garrisons buried in that area. I haven't run any of these lines as the rest of my direct Garrison Family family lines have kept me pretty occupied. I'll get to them eventually but right now I've got several mysteries going on that have me captive out of the Tennessee Line.

Ref: p. 83 Commissioner's Deed I suspect north or northwest Sumner Co. Jane married Christian Ruminger, (Rominger, Ruminer) in 1817 and returned with him and her own young children to Logan Co., KY. Jane was listed as a remembered member of Shiloh Presb. Church. Does this light any bulbs for anyone? Ken
