    1. DILLARD Family on Center Point Road (Hendersonville)&UNKNOWN PHOTOS
    2. I am attempting to find any kind of pictures of the Dillard Family that lived in an old log home on Center Point Road (corner of Hunts lane & CPR) during the 1800's up to the late 1970's. ~.~(originally..back in 1818, Owen Dillard (father of Gabriel) owned 130+acres in that area with a Plantation home, it was left to Gabe & his brothers and was sold off during the years and Gabe & Harriet lived on approx 2.5acres w/old log home)~.~ *****Also, I have a website where I have posted alot of pictures that I rec'd via email from (my dist. cousin) Ramona. Some of these you may have seen on other websites. But, alot of them are UNKNOWN. We would like to try to find out who these people are. PLEASE LOOK and help if you can. These pictures could be of the following families: FRAZOR / DUNAVANT / VAUGHAN / SAVELY - or could just be friends of these families, we're not sure. Please go to http://lookatus.4t.com and click on ~slideshow~ Thank you for any help you can provide. Christy & Ramona

    1. Shannon Family Letters belonging to Mary Lee Page
    2. (This letter was originally send 2/24/05 to [email protected] the mail was undeliverable) Hope this finds its way to her or the Shannon/Gibb Families I was reading these letters (very interesting) on this website and noticed the name of Gabriel Dillard. Gabriel was my GGGGrandfather, he and Harriet Frazor Dillard (his wife) lived on Center Point Road from the early 1800's on other family members took over & lived there until approx 1974. I was wondering, it's a long shot.............but, would there be any pictures of any of the Dillard Family that lived on Center Point Rd in your old family stuff? I know it's a long shot, but I had to ask. Another bit of information I'd like to pass along to you (I guess you are related to the Shannon's) is that there is a little cemetary just about 1 mile down Center Point Road -on the Left- where a small subdivision is getting ready to be built. The property is up for sale and I noticed some head stones in a cluster of trees close to the road (I was on Center Point last week trying to get some Dillard Info).....my son & I got out to look at the head stones and they were of the SHANNON /GIBB FAMILIES. I'm not sure if the subdivision people were planning to fence it off or what, but thought you should know........some of the headstones are illegible and broken, but others you can feel the spelling of the names. Hopefully someone will take care of the resting place - but you know progress ! Thank you for your time...........and if you have any other Dillard info it would be great. Christy Pegram, Tn.

    1. Capt. Vinson's company, 1826- Sumner History
    2. Mary McCall Deane
    3. Folks, My 3g grandfather William McCall appears on the list of "Free White Males in Captain Vinson's Company, 1826. I have 2 questions: Who was Captain Vinson? Does any one know a first name, parents, spouse, etc.? What/why did these "Companies" exist? They seem to be almost used like a census district as of 1826, but I'm sure there's some historical background for this. Does any local historian wish to enlighten the rest of us? Many thanks, Mary ps: I presume my 3g grandfather was there because he married Parthena Vinson, daughter of James Vinson Jr. and Rhoda Benthal in 1802. But what were the "Companies" all about?

    1. *{TNSUMNER} * TRUMAN H. NASH / WM. "BABE" DILLARD
    2. I am looking for family or someone with information on Truman Nash. He took care of William "Babe" Dillard (failing health), and Mr. Dillard willed Mr. Nash the property on Center Point Road along with the old Log House. My main interest is in PHOTOS of any kind of the Dillard Family (Gabriel & Harriet and their children, etc) that lived on Center Point Road in the early to late 1800's. I was hoping that some of the old family photos were left in the old log house and may have been kept by someone. Any information is appreciated. Thank You ! Christy
