This is what I have about William P. Davis he was the son of James & Nancy Davis born in KY somewhere between 1825-30. He appears in the 1880 Trousdale County, TN census living with his parents James & Nancy. William P. Davis was married during the 1880 census to a lady named Dorian and had these children Kate, Dora Ann, Daniel B., William. In the 1900 Sumner County census William P. davis appears married to a lady named Samantha for ten years and they have a grandson living with them with the last name Stewart. So William would have had to marry Samantha in 1890 and his first wife Dorian sometime in the 1860s. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Everything but the buildings will go, including nearly all his old employees and their families. Children of Ellery Clark and Emily Priest are: 2 i. Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/HiB.2ACI/2764 Message Board Post: I had a computer malfunction and was unable to complete the query I posted earlier this month. I am seeking information about James Harrison who appears in the 1860 census, District 3, Sumner County, post office Castalian Springs. He was 68 years old, born 1791. Also listed in the household were: Emily, age 54, b. 1805 VA; Nimrod Harrison, age 23, b. 1836 TN; William Harrison, age 17, b. 1842, TN; Elizabeth Smith, age 74, b. 1785 VA; and Nimrod d Smiith 47, b. 1812 TN. I believe James was the son of James Harrison and Cynthia Gibson and had siblings: Nathaniel, Henry (Harry m. Polly (Caty) Howell), George, Rhoda (Wynne), Cynthia (Wynne, Carr), Mary (Polly) (Herndon), Susan (McKisick) Massey Williams. Also, Nathaniel Breedlove Harrison. I am guessing that the Elizabeth listed was the mother of Emily. Any information about any of the foregoing will be greatly appreciated.

Hello List, I have been having a chat with my father in law Cooper and his sister, they went to Cooper School in Sumner County, during the late 20's and the 30's....they can only think of 3 teachers names....Ethel Creasy, Ray Kinsalow and Ruth Freeman....can any one on the list name any others? Also does anyone know which Cooper family that the name of the school can from? My husbands family has always thought that the land was given by his family (Martin Cooper) but I with regret do not agree with them.(I hate to spoil the family tale) I believe that I have read that there was a teacher or Supertintent of Schools in Sumner County that the school might have been named after. If anyone has any information about the Cooper School I would like to hear from you. Thank You Debbie Cooper Indiana

A descendant of William & Catherine (Richmond) Graves and a descendant of Jabob & Caty (Black) Graves matched each other on 24 out of 25 markers, proving a definite relationship. Another Graves tracing his ancestry back to Southern Illinois has matched also. It would appear that their earliest ancestor might be a brother or uncle of the Sumner Co. Graves.
