Hello. I have a JOAB OVERBEY who was in the Civil War regiment 4th TN Cav (Union). He was born about 1823 in Caswell Co., North Carolina, and enlisted in the regiment May 13, 1864 at Nashville. He served in Co K, and survived the War. He is listed in the 1890 Veteran's census as living at Blair's Gap in Sullivan Co., TN.
