My great-grandmother was Rosa Simmerly Richards, married to David Arthur Richards. She died in 1981 at age 93, and is buried in Crumley Cemetary in Hickory Tree. I was but 16 when she died, and never thought to ask her about her side of the family. There are numerous Simmerlys buried in Crumley, but I've no idea of their exact relation to her. What I do know: She was one of many kids and step-siblings. Her mother died young, and is buried with Granny Rosie's newborn child in a two-plot cemetary on a hillside just before you reach Crumley.
