I mowed the grass/dirt in the front yard as a child @ age 3 or 4. I remember the Old Home Place @ 952 Anderson St next to the Anderson Street Methodist Church where Tennessee Ernie Ford sang on Sunday Mornings.Ernie Ford used to get into Nicks Model T Ford and honk the horn, according to my father, Hubert (Kewpie) Fain Owen, Brother of Hugh Owen. The Tennessee Ernie Ford House is located (then) directly behind the Nicholas Fain Owen Family Home. Anderson Street Methodist Church, later bought the family home on Anderson Street (952) to build a additional parking lot. Mrs. Ford used to bake the nicest birthday cakes for the Owen Clan.
