He was born about April 29, 1819 in Campbell County, Virginia. He enlisted in the Confederate Army February 25, 1862. He was part of Company C , 20th Battalion Virginia Heavy Artillery that banded in Bedford County under Capt. Robert C. Jones. Henrys application for Civil War Soldiers Pension was filed in Vances in Sullivan County, Tennessee on April 5 1902. His wifes name was Rebecca Smelser Bryan(t). Any help would be greatly appreciated. Larry
