Mary Elizabeth Irick Rufus married (2) Winifred Helton Children of Rufus and Winifred Helton Boyd are: Charles Boyd b. @1865 Rufus Boyd b. @1867 Sarah K. b. @1869 Amanda 1871-1933 m. Elbert Foster Eads Mary Elizabeth 1873-1943 m. Charles W. Eads (I have children of this line) James A. Boyd b. 1814 was Rufus' brother (not my original research; personal correspondence with Richard Pelletier). James married Elizabeth "Betty" Paxton (but I have seen some conflicting information about her last name). Chidren of Elizabeth and James Boyd are: John Wilder Boyd 1842-1920 m. Melvina Fish (I have children of this line) David P. Boyd b. @ 1843 Rachel Boyd b. @1845 Margaret "Mary" Boyd b. @1848 Elbert S. Boyd b. @1850 Virginia A. Boyd b. @1854 Sarah J. boyd b. @1857 Nancy A. Boyd b. @1858 Elizabeth Boyd b. @1862 There is an article in the Sullivan County history about James A. Boyd written by Sheila Steele Hunt. According to that article, James & Rufus' parents were William Boyd 1790-1872 & Eliza Douglas. Richard Pelletier has William's parents as James Boyd and Matilda Barbour and James' parents as William Boyd and Elizabeth Unknown.
