Yes, I believe David may be a brother to Andrew. Either that or first cousin. >Daniel Booher, 31 (From going through the records I have found that when they >are transcribed that Daniel can also be transcribed as David. Last summer in >the records in TN and found that it is very hard to figure out which name >would have been correct one) >Eli Booher, 35 I have no idea who his father is. He is shown to be 45 on >prior census. The 1870 census lists Eli Booher, 35; Mahala 40; Ellen 20; O. E. 19; Catherine 16; William 14; and Martha 11. Perhaps it was 55 and I misread it. O.E. is a female, so I thought the name might be Ollie Elizabeth, but this is clearly not my Ollie Elizabeth. My Ollie is living a few households over with Andrew Camper. >David Camper, 50 He is on 1850 census but his wife is Ann on that census. No >Camper on 1860 census. I would like to know where you found David Camper in 1850. He is not listed on the Tennessee index that I have. David Camper is in Sullivan County in 1860. >Lume Booher, 56 (I show this to be Samuel Booher) > >James Booher, 30 (He is son of Samuel he marries a Lidia E. (Ellen) McClain >or McLane in 1867 she already has two girls and on the 1870 census, but they >listed Mary J. & Martha F. as Boohers. Mahala E. would be their dau. ( >First two girls father may have been killed in civil war or had an accident >and died) Why is Mary McLain listed as a "ward" of Andrew Camper's in 1880? What exactly does "ward" mean? ><<On Ollie's death certificate, her parents are listed as Eli and Mahala >Booher. Then these are probably her parents. I don't have when she died but >if the funeral home is still in business they may have in their records the >names of her brothers and sisters also. Or if her obit was published in the >paper these names may appear there also. I have contacted the funeral home. They were very nice, but there was almost no information on Ollie. Her funeral was held at Macedonia Baptist Church. Her and Andrew are buried there along with their son James and his wife. I have had two researchers try to find obits on Ollie and Andrew Camper and no one can come up with one. Andrew died March 27, 1915 and Ollie died August 31, 1924.
