Do you know anything about a MATTHEWS who left an estate, in late 1800's in TN, valued at more than $300,000? My ggrandfather's name was William Matthews Berry, born Dec. 25, 1848 in Missouri. His father, John Berry, came from either Sullivan or Carter County, TN. I have a letter written to WILLIAM MATTHEWS BERRY from someone in Tennessee, advising him of the inheritance and telling him that, naturally, he was one of the heirs. Can you cast any light on this for me? I assumed that he was related to the MATTHEWS in some way. Thanks. Faye Adkins [email protected]
