Fred, Don't know for sure the parents of your Mary Crumley, but if she was born in Sullivan County, she most likely is a descendant of George Crumley, Sr. who immigrated from Germany by way of Pennsylvania. George is buried in the Crumley cemetery near Hickory Tree in Sullivan County. I have a copy of the Crumley book by Hugh Henry Mottern. I see several Marys in it, but I don't see one married to a South. Although I'd be glad to send you some of what I do have on the Crumleys.
