Hello. I am trying to determine whether three men were brothers. All evidence point to their being so, but I need some leads to find them in the 1850 census. Three men served in the Civil War regiment 4th Tennessee Cavalry (Union), in Company B. All three were born in Sullivan Co., TN. ANDREW J. PULLUM (b ~1841) enlisted Nov 15, 1861 at Greenville, TN. He was 5'10" tall, fair complexion, blue eyes, fair hair. GEORGE PULLUM (b ~1842) enlisted Aug 6, 1862 at Cumberland Gap. He was 5'4" tall, fair complexion, black eyes, fair hair. SAMUEL PULLAM (b ~1844) enlisted Aug 16, 1862 at Cumberland Gap. He was 5'6" tall, dark complexion, black eyes, black hair. The 1850 Sullivan Co. census index states that there is a PULLIAM on p 92B of the census, but I could not find any good matches there. I have not yet searched 1860, but my research via FTM CDs indicate that they should be found in a Greene Co., TN household headed by a HILLERY PULLUM. The Family Finder Index also states that there was a HILLERY PULLUM living in Virginia in the 1870 census. In have found both Andrew and Samuel living in Sullivan Co., TN in the 1880 census. They each married a sister of another soldier from the same regiment and company, George CRAWFORD. Samuel shows up as SAMUEL PULLEN, and his family is as follows: 1 Samuel Pullam b: Abt. 1844 in Sullivan Co., Tennessee . +Adaline Crawford b: Abt. 1842 in Tennessee ...... 2 Esther E. Pullam b: Abt. 1872 in Tennessee ...... 2 Farragut Pullam b: Abt. 1876 in Tennessee ...... 2 Elbridge Pullam b: Abt. 1878 in Tennessee Andrew is listed as ANDREW PULLERN, and his family is as follows: 1 Andrew J. Pullem b: Abt. 1841 in Sullivan Co., Tennessee . +Tabitha Crawford b: Abt. 1834 in Tennessee ...... 2 Margaret Pullem b: Abt. 1867 in Tennessee ...... 2 Susannah Pullem b: Abt. 1869 in Tennessee ...... 2 Andrew J. Pullem b: Abt. 1871 in Tennessee ...... 2 Abraham L. Pullem b: Abt. 1873 in Tennessee ...... 2 Hannah E. Pullem b: Abt. 1875 in Tennessee I have not yet found George in the 1880 census.
