    1. Re: James and Noah Cox @ 1850 Sullivan Co.

    3. Hello, I'm interested in James Cox, and his wife Elizabeth from Sullivan County TN. They are ggggrandparents. I have info from the 1850 Sullivan County census that indicates James and family (with son Noah) lived there nearby his son Jeremiah (and his wife Susannah Hartman Cox). Another Cox that lived next door was William Cox. Do you have any information on whether this William and James might have been brothers...who their parents were, etc.? James son Jeremiah and his family moved to Iowa in middle 1850's and we have very little info on where they came from except Sullivan Co TN or why they moved, etc. What info I've received has mostly been thru lost Cox cousins (Willard Peil being one) that I've located via internet and from the 1850 census. Would appreciate whatever you can add. Thanks so much for any "enlightenment", Sullivan TN records seem hard to come by.
