Patricia, I have four Sarah Cox's that I'm aware of...at least two of whom might fit. One is the sister of my ggggrandfather Jeremiah Hunter Cox. Sarah's dob 12/15/1821, her parents were James Cox b 1790 or 1792 in TN died 1862 in Sullivan Co., her mother Elizabeth born @ 1797 in VA. There marriae date abt 1811. In addition to Jeremiah, Sarah's siblings included Mary, Elizabeth (Bettie) who married my gggggrandfather Thomas Hartman, Catherine, John Wesley, Christina, Nancy G, Andrew Jackson, Emaline, and the Noah Cox who you've been hearing about lately. Another Sarah Cox possible was born 10/25/1810 to William Cox, Sr.([email protected]) and Mary Wheelock ([email protected]). This William and Mary were married 1/1/1805 by Jonathan Mulkey, a Baptist Minister-on the headwaters of Kendricks Creek, Washington County. This Sarah's siblings included Elizabeth, William W., Deborah, Mary, Margaret, another Jeremiah Cox, Anna, John, Jacob, and Rodah Cox. This William, Sarah's father, was in the war of 1812 and in "Jackson's War". This info I received from another source whom I'll share with you privately. I hope this info helps and that one of these Sarah's are yours. I may have more info as well so let me know if either seems to fit with what you have. Also...if any of the above people are known to anyone, I'd appreciate any help. I've two-three lines of Cox family in the Sullivan County area from @ 1850 back. Also have a line of Hartman's that married Cox family in Sullivan area. Anything sound familiar? Sharon Hughes
