Barnes and four children who have been ill for some time with disease which puzzled the physician for a while, are improving. They have at last decided that they are suffering with yellow jaundice. J. R. Foust and Mr. and Mrs. A. H. Hobbs, of Bluff City, were dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. W. S. Barnes Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. David Faust, of Blountville, paid a visit Sunday to Mr. and Mrs. A. B. Cartright. Miss Nita Adams spent Friday night the guest of her aunt, Mrs. Gertrude Ford. Mrs. Susie Foust returned to her home at Bluff City Sunday after spending a week with her sister, Mrs. Flora Barnes. Rev. John B. Rodgers left Friday for his home in Missouri. Mr. and Mrs. Sam Lynn and F. L. Holt and family spent Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. N. D. Holt. Mrs. Fannie Smith was shopping in Bristol last week. Noah Grills, of Samuel, was a business visitor here Saturday. Walt Barnes has purchased the Stophel farm. The price paid was $5,600. William Ager was a visitor at F. W. Wagener's Sunday.
