My Smiley family bought 79 acres in 1802 from the Goad family on Horse Creek. Think Clover Bottom is on the water of Little Horse Creek near Bays Mountain. Old note I have (can't remember source) has Clover Bottom near Sullivan Gardens. This old note also says that Smiley family land on Horse Creek, Clover Bottom, near now day Sullivan Gardens. Where is Sullivan Gardens? Any help would be appreciated as coming to Sullivan Co. in September 2005 with my 75 year old father and he desperately wants to find this 79 acres and walk it if possible.
