Next door to that family was a Luther and Hattie Hale. I'm not sure if this is my Robert as he is listed as Robert L. Hale If it is the same one this is how he is listed on the 1910 census and 1900 census (where I found him in Sullivan county, Bristol lving next door to his mother Annie L. Hale). However on the 1880 census he is listed as Robert C. Hale and in the home of his grandfather along with his mother and brother. Don't know if this helps any or not but thought I'd share since it was some similar names

    2. Just a place to look... but, there is a John C. Hale, aged 3 living in Paperville area of Sullivan County (I think this is kind of between Bristol and Holston Valley but it's been years since I lived there). It appears that John C. Hale is son of Henry (b. 1812) and Lydia. Other siblings include Lorena, William H. and Margaret. It appears Henry's name may have been William Henry Hale because it looks like this same family can be found in 1850 -- this time with his being known as William. Don't know if this is your family or not, but it gives you something to go on ...Gary

    3. Kristi, Jeanette from Milford, OH. here, You got a copy of a death cert. for me for one of my Bishop relatives from Ct. Co. I have a sort of mystery and wonder if you can help. You'll have to let me know what this would cost before you commit. Maybe you won't even want to but. . . . I can't find any records of burials in the WEBB cemetery in Bluff City. It is about 3 min. from the Bristol Speedway. I can give directions if that helps. The problem is there are many unmarked graves--namely my grandmother, and her parents. A flat marker in the cemetery states-"WEBB Cemetery dedicated June 10, 1979 to the glory of God, our loved ones and veterans of all wars." I have tried asking a few funeral homes and have had no luck. I wonder what a person would do if you wanted to be buried there??? If you think you want to tackle this please let me know. 1. Re: [TNSULLIV] Will do LOOKUPS in Sullivan Co TN -- Rameys
    2. Hi Kristi and Everyone, I have census information on two Rosevelt or Roosevelt Rameys and their wives and children in Sullivan Co., TN. Both of these men were born around 1900, and I don't know if they were related to each other. Would you do a look up on these two men? Anything would help. I also had a Great Grandmother named Leora, (Leah?) Ramey who was born about 1870 in Scott Co., VA. I found her in the 1900 census for Washington Co., VA and still single. Then family members said "she went to Bristol, Sullivan County, TN and disappeared." I haven't been able to find her on a census after 1900. This is a great mystery. If there is a way, would you look for any record for a Leora or Leah Ramey. For some reason I have a feeling that she may have been ill and in some sort of hospital, but I don't know. Her early life had been very tragic. Any records other than censuses on these Rameys would help. Thanks! Susan E. Davis
