Their son William A. Cross b. 1874 is my great grandfather, he married Martha Kidd Shaffer. Their son, Joseph b. 1907 had a son Charles, my father. I have only traced the family back to John Cross and Dinah Lane. I also have the Lane Family. I think John's father was John but I have not gotten any further yet. In the posting, you said that you have traced yr info back to Robert Crosse, I have recently ran across a book at Brigham Young University that list the Sir Robert Crosse. I have not yet read in detail, but I soon plan to. Are you by any chance the author Harold Cross who published it in 2000, and mentioned the nice dedication of yr father?

Possum Ck also turns into Mount Holston Rd. driving through takes you to Underwood Springs, near the Chinquapin Grove area.
