    3. Listers: nice to see msgs again. I am searching for connections to Abner Hughes b 1773 NC (spouse Rebecca Woodward), resided in SullCo and died there 1839. I have located John Hughes b 1780 (spouse Sebethe Hardester) as a possible brother to Abner Hughes. They were close in age, married about the same time in the same place. John Hughes received a grant and moved to Pulaski Co KY in 1825. This is the difficult part. My Hiram Hughes b 1794 (spouse Rachel Massey) somehow is tied in with both. Hiram Hughes was surety for Susannah Hughes, daughter of John Hughes. He named his first son Jeremiah after his father. The second son was named Abner Hughes. Abner Hughes daughter, (Sarah Annis), moved into Pulaski Co KY where my Hiram Hughes and John Hughes raised their families. Is anyone in SullCo researching Hugheses?? This has been a three year search. Hoping. Doris Belt/OK [email protected] HUGHES/MASSEY/RICHARDSON/TANNER/BROWN

    3. Kathy, Which Blevins are you researching? I'm trying to confirm Lucinda Blevins' parents. She lived in Shady Valley, Johnson County and married Joel Randol Heaberlin. I have conflicting information that she was (1) d/o William C. Blevins and Nancy Unknown or (2) d/o John Blevins. William C. was s/o William R. and Polly Cawood of Sullivan Co and Johnson Co and William R. was s/o William "The Colonel" Blevins, b. Pittsylvania Co, VA and died Sullivan Co. about 1805. "The Colonel" Blevins' wife was Ann, possibly Morrell. According to the source (Internet) where I found the (2) possibility, John Blevins was also given as a descendent of The Colonel by another child. I believe that this group of Blevins lived in the Blountville/Bluff City/Bristol area and some moved to Johnson Co. or perhaps they were always in what is now Johnson Co, but it was Sullivan Co earlier (???) 3. Hello Everyone! Welcome back from hibernation! It's good to hear from you, I was beginning to worry! LOL There are 150 of us on this list but I think many may be MIA! I am still searching for any descendants of John FOSTER who would have lived in Kingsport in 1958. He was most likely born in the 1880's in Asheville, North Carolina or Tennessee. He had a sister named Sally FOSTER BUCKNER (born 1883 in Asheville, NC died 1958 in Huntley, MT) and his father was also named John FOSTER. I know it's not a lot to go on but it's all I have! Any clues would be greatly appreciated! Thanks and have a great day! Kerry ----- Original Message ----- Well, about 5 or 6 people have spoken now. How many are there??????

    3. Hello again: Now that everyone has a cup of coffee in hand........Do any of you know where I can find a map of TN online that shows the counties? I just need an outline, not detailed so I can try and track my families movements. So far I have found Kingree/Kingery's in Smith, Bedford, Sullivan, Gibson and Henderson Counties. I'd like to see where they all are in conjunction with one another. Thanks! Pam

    3. Hello Sullivan County: You woke me up! I am looking for any variation of the surname Kingree! >From about 1801 on. My Henry lived on Steele's Creek which bordered Washington Co. VA. On the 1820 and 1830 census, I found that Henry had approx. 8 to 10 children. I have found various Kingree's in TN that show a birth place as VA. However, I have been unsuccessful in getting anything from Washington Co. Any other suggestions?
