Date of Newspaper: Tuesday, February 28, 1956 Page: Front Page Title: "Dover Officials Re-Elected" Mayor, W.H. TIPPIT, aldermen, Roy L. VINSON of Ward No. 1, William D. HOWELL and Clay GROVES of Ward No. 11 were re-elected as officials of the town of Dover in a municipal election held on Friday, February 17th. They had no opposition. These officers have served the town of Dover since its incorporation on December 31, 1951. The only change in the council was the election of Woodrow DILL as alderman of Ward No. 1, who succeeds J.T. SCURLOCK. SCURLOCK now holds the position of Water Commissioner for the town which was formerly held by DILL.
