I am not sure how to do this. I am just starting at this site. Debbie Rosenbloom hooked me up to it. My husband's family is from Stewart Co., TN, Ed Joyce. I have been having the best time researching and will share anything since everyone has been so generous to me! Ed's Grandparents were Pinkney Miles & Emily Elizabeth Joyce. He was adopted by his uncle Ottie Joyce and Lilly Boyd Riggins Joyce. On that branch I have the Miles back to Samuel Miles (1780-1856). The Parkers back to Aaron Parker b. 1803 in Stewart Co. d. 1847 Stewart Co. I am trying to find his parents. The Futrells back to 1616. I am working on the Sikes (thanks Billy Sikes) and have the Gross branch back to Christian Gross 1694 and working with Bruce Gross & Cliff Tyler. Thanks to Wayne Guerin I have the Guerins back to 1649 in France. I also have the following branches through the Guerins if anyone is interested: Whitehead, Conger, Ford, Lovell, Cawood, Potter, Freeman, Brown, Astwood, Carter, Burwell, Winchester, Howe & others. I have these branches back to the 1630's in Massachusetts, Connecticut & New Jersey. I am working on these branches in North Carolina. Most of my information has sources such as the Stewart Co. Families & Histories books vol. 1 & 2; church records, mortality lists, early census, tax & quit rents; Revolutionary War records; histories of towns since several of these families were among the founders of New Haven & Milford, CT and Newark & Elizabeth, NJ. Also lots from Morris Co., NJ. And with the help of Tom Boyd have researched the Boyd, Fisher, Riggins & Scarborough families. I hope I can help someone! Blair Joyce
Blair, Do you have a family tree maker of some sorts? Can you begin with sending information you have on the Browns and Parkers? You have researched so many lines. I am so impressed. I am also interested in the Lancasters, Miles, Joyce, Riggins, Futtrells, etc., but they are shirt tail cousins. I am sure others will enjoy seeing the information too.
