Dear Diann, Hello, nice to hear from you again. Yes, I agree the obit of Evie Gibbs Harrison that recently passed away and your husband's obituary was in "The Clarksville Leaf-Chronicle", and please let me extend to you and your family my deepest sympathies in their passing. However, not "all" of the recent obituaries that are in "The Stewart-Houston Times" are not located in "The Clarksville-Leaf Chronicle" or their archives. A perfect example is the latest issue of "The Stewart-Houston Times" newspaper dated Tuesday, August 31, 2004. None of the obituaries in this issue appear in "The Clarksville-Leaf Chronicle" online. I am now in the process of posting these obituaries. Even though these two newspaper are "sister" newspapers, there are some major differences on which obituaries are printed where. Also, (I didn't know this until I just checked it out this very minute) did you know that when you do a search on "The Clarksville-Leaf Chronicle" archives there are many obituaries that if you would like a copy you have to pay for it? Some are free, but I noticed quite a few of them are for a fee. Do you think that is because the family paid to put the obituary in the paper, so the paper is charging for someone to get a copy? Yes, I have had many emails about the obituaries and newspaper articles that I am posting. I am sure you have noticed on the mailing list how wonderful people out there are adding and correcting information about the obituary and the person it belongs to. I think that is wonderful and what genealogy research is all about!!!!
