    3. jerree; The Brandon family are "tag ons" to my family at this point but lived near or at times next to them on the early censuses. The more that is asked the more some of my lines seem to just about link up but not yet. Marcella Brandon was the wife of Elijah Demoss Carney and mother of Emily Francis but I am not sure of her parents. There is an online tree that indicates Christopher and Polly Skinner Brandon had a daughter in 1828 but it says her name was America Jane and gives her dob as 2-19-1828. Marcella's is listed as 1-23-1828. I had the pleasure of visiting Stewart County last year and got lost trying to find Mt Zion Cemetery [that is where our g grandparents are buried]--but with my sister's help we did find it in the Brandon Camp Ground Area. The cemetery is within sight of the swimming area as I recall. I didn't see the house. Since we spent so much time being lost that and the Dover House in town were the only things on my list of places to visit that I actually got to see but I hope to visit the area again one day. In trying to fit the pieces of all this together I think I found another "tag on" with Abigail Skinner [abt 1825-aft 1880] who married Dudley Parker [abt 1812-1880] on August 13, 1846. Stewart County Settlements and Bonds, Volume F (March 1843 - June 1848) 356 will of Jonathan Skinner: wife Frances, infant daughter Hadassa (also called Esther), infant son Jonathan K., daughter Abigail, daughter Louisa?, daughter Sarah Jane; executors are James W. Williams and Aaron Goodrich; wit: P. Lynch, F. L. Sidebottom, Robert S. Thomas; written 24 Jun 1844, proven Aug. term 1846. Yes Skinner and Brandon families are really very interesting to study.
