Vick Hurt in Accident in North Africa" Mr. and Mrs. Tom Vick of Route 3 have been notified by the War Department that their son, Cpl. Walton S. Vick was injured October in an accident in North Africa. Corporal Vick was thrown from a truck in which he was riding and sustained a skull fracture. Assigned to an anti-aircraft battalion Corporal Vick has been overseas since April of 1943 and training in the States about nine months. He was stationed on Corsica Island just off Italy when he last wrote his parents. Before his enlistment he was employed in Middletown, Ohio. Three brothers are overseas: James L. Vick, S. 2/C, is somewhere in the South Pacific; Cpl. J. E. Vick is with the Field Artillery in New Guinea and Pvt. Harlan Vick is an MP somewhere in France.
