    3. Although this is not my direct line I was intrigued so I think she is the daughter of Robert and Sallie Griffin Burns. Her sisters: Nevada (1867-bef 1939) married Valdo Madison Hargis 12-11-1887 Callie (1873-aft 1939) married Milton Lafayette Hargis 9-22-1889 Maggie (1878-bef 1939) married William "Shady" Hargis 4-4-1894 Her brother Willie (1870-1949) married a Mary M abt 1895 Leaving her to be Floyd Robert Burns Hargis b May 1864 she married J Desmond Hargis 2-21-1889. 1900 STEWART COUNTY, TENNESSEE, , District 4 [Enumeration District 62], pg 11b 195/201 Desmond J.     3. Not my direct line either, but I am descended from Nancy (Griffin) McCoy, a sister of Sallie (Griffin) Burns. I'd love to hear from anyone else working on the Griffin side.
