Sills of Model, has returned to the States after convalescing in England from wounds of the right arm received August 5 in France. Before being transferred to a hospital in Temple, Texas he talked with his mother from Charleston, S.C. He has been awarded the Silver Star in recognition of his gallantry in action in France. He also received the Purple Heart for wounds. Corporal Sills served with the Medical Corps. in England from February of this year, almost a year after his enlisting, until entering France shortly after the initial invasion.
