Byrd, who won this honor in a campus wide election last Thursday, is the son of Mr. and Mrs. T. H. Byrd, Route 2, Indian Mound, Stewart County, Tennessee. He is majoring in chemistry at the college and this hear was chosen as president of this class. In addition Byrd has been active in campus affairs, and campus dramatic productions. Also elected were Dick Sullivan, a sophomore from Dickson, for vice president and Miss Patty McReynolds, a junior from Hopkinsville, Kentucky for the office of secretary-treasurer. The new officers will take over their duties next September when the Fall Quarter of the college opens.
