The name got garbled over the years to Grice Creek (originally named for first Settler named Guice) The creek you identified as Grist is Grice (formerly Guice). The word that looks like Issac is actually Jesse, which I saw on the posted map. Arthur Powers lived in the northern areas after about 1910 when John Parchman's widow, Sally Parchman died. (John was Jesse's older brother.) About where the creek crossed the border from Houston County is where Jacob Parchman lived, and is still owned by Parchman descendants today. Jacob was another brother, a little older than John. There is a local road there called Billy Parchman Rd. Gerry Parchman
