I'm looking for the parents of Rachel Rebecca Bruce, born 18 Sept 1826 in Alabama and died 6 April 1893 in Stewart Co, TN. On 2 May 1847 she married Isaac Edwards in Montgomery Co, TN. There’s a very good chance that Rachel’s father was Joel Bruce. Rachel was born in Alabama, and in the 1830 census, there was only one Bruce in Alabama with a daughter the right age to be Rachel. He was in the Lauderdale, AL census. In the 1840 census, Joel Bruce was in Mongomery, TN and had a daughter the right age to be Rachel. However, this is all circumstantial, and I would like documentation to either support or refute my theory. Thank you. Linda Hughes
