I am looking for information on the following Fords who are listed in the Stewart County, Tennessee militia membership lists. 1808 John Ford 1809 John Ford 100 acres, Capt. Burton's Company 1811 Jas Ford 25 acres, Panther Creek, Capt Acree's Company 1811 Chas Ford Capt Ross's Company James and John Ford are listed in the 1820 Stewart County census. John is listed as 26-45 years of age with 3 males under 10 and a female 26-45. Also listed is a Thomas Ford 26-45 years with a female 26-45 and two younger females and one male. There is also a Daniel Ford listed in later county records that is probably related. I believe that James Ford is the same person who is in the census in Henry County in later years until his death in 1861. I know that Stewart County encompassed Henry at one time. Perhaps these Fords lived in the area that later became Henry County? Any help is appreciated. Carey Rogers
