The staff at the Stewart County Archives has completed the organizing, cleaning, filing and indexing of its Loose Papers from the 1830's. These papers represent about 500 separate civil and criminal cases heard in Stewart Circuit Court during the 1830's. I have updated the page on the Stewart County Genealogy web site that lists the Archives' holdings available for request-by-mail, to include these 500 additional case files: http://www.tngenweb.org/stewart/archives.htm Photocopies of the case files can now be ordered by mail from the Archives, and the originals are now accessible to patrons visiting the Archives in person.
