    3. Dear Suzanne, Hello, sorry to say that there are no online death record indexes for the years 1931-1948. They have to be accessed at the State Archives or at one of the few libraries that have been able to afford to buy the microfilms. I can access them at the archives if you need me to do a search, just email me privately. There is one other index that you might check if they died from 1949-2005: http://register.shelby.tn.us/index.php Look all the way over the your right and you will see a search that you can search the Tennessee Death Certificates for the years 1949-2005 for all counties.     3. I am trying to find death dates for two of my great-great uncles that are buried in Cross Creek Cemetery in Indian Mound. One of our cousins are wanting to purchase a head stone to honor them. Doris, I do the web site updates, but for the life of me can't figure out what, if anything, I updated on the site around the 30th, unless it was just my little "200 Years Ago" banner at the top of the main page. Last real update was probably on the 17th, as the Updates page lists. The 1940 census won't be released by the government until 2012 (72 years later is the law). I'm looking forward to it as well!
