    1. [TNSTEWAR] Sam A. Feltner Photo Archive - Online
    2. Jim Long
    3. Many of us are familiar with the Sam Feltner Photo Archive project that Duane Hargis has been working on for a while. Duane has been preserving and indexing images of the hundreds of photos in the collection, and some of us have helped Duane identify people in the photos. He has donated electronic copies of the archive, and his index-in-progress, to the Stewart County Public Library and the Stewart County Historical Society. Now, even more people can help identify these photos. I'm thrilled to announce that a large percentage of the archive's photos are now online - currently, about 850 photos and growing. The main page for the archive is at: http://www.tngenweb.org/stewart/fpa/feltnermain.htm I have not yet linked this page to the Stewart County Genealogy page - for now, members of this Mailing List will get the 'sneak peek' at the archive. Please save this email, or bookmark the web address in your Favorites, so that you can come back to the archive from time to time and continue exploring. Beneath each photo is a Photo ID, the identity of the persons in the photo (if known), and a link that you can use to send Duane an email about that photo, to help update the index. Enjoy, and thanks for your help in making this amazing collection even more complete. Jim

    1. [TNSTEWAR] Old Stewart Co. Cemetery Book on Amazon & eBay
    2. Jim Long
    3. The much-loved and out-of-print 1983 book "Cemetery Records of Stewart County Tennessee" is very hard to find for purchase. But I just stumbled across a copy for sale on Amazon.com. It's a hefty price - $185 - but I thought I'd pass it along in case anyone was interested. http://www.amazon.com/Cemetery-Records-Stewart-County-Tennessee/dp/B0038481G A/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8 <http://www.amazon.com/Cemetery-Records-Stewart-County-Tennessee/dp/B0038481 GA/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1267672516&sr=1-1> &s=books&qid=1267672516&sr=1-1 I also found the book listed on eBay - for $145. It might be the same person selling the same book, since both are listed from Arkansas. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem <http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=170445194611&rvr_id=&crl p=1_263602_263622&UA=%3F*I8&GUID=f22155e31250a02652b6ca56fd7f9884&itemid=170 445194611&ff4=263602_263622> &item=170445194611&rvr_id=&crlp=1_263602_263622&UA=%3F*I8&GUID=f22155e31250a 02652b6ca56fd7f9884&itemid=170445194611&ff4=263602_263622 If this price is too steep for your budget, don't give up: I found my copy a couple of years ago, by searching the Internet, for $50. 3. Any Brigham researchers out there who can help Mr. Wilson? From: James A. Wilson [mailto:jamesawilson@verizon.net] Sent: Friday, February 26, 2010 6:59 PM To: scaevolatn@comcast.net Subject: Seeking Information on Brigham Family Mr. Long; I am seeking information on the William Brigham family, specifically from the 1850 census. William had died in 1849 but his wife Jane still lived with several of her children. The 1850 census shows them in Stewart County in residence 961. My question is: do you have any outside information that might indicate which of the females were here children, vice being her daughters-in-law? From looking at the 1820 to 1840 census it appears she may have had as many as 13 or 14 children. I have a web-site that contains genealogical information on the Wilson family from Tennessee. Feel free to link to it if you desire. The URL is: www.wilson-moore.com <http://www.wilson-moore.com/> . Thanks in advance for your kind consideration. -- James A.
