    3. Gary, I don't think his father was George, Jr. he would have only been about 15 or 16 when Thomas was born 1839?-1840. The descendant of Thomas that contacted me several years ago now, said he traced George to his death in Hardin Co. IL and that George appeared to only have one son in the records and it wasn't Thomas. However he didn't give me any information on who George married or who his son was. But George and his son were both dead by Aug 1889 according to the court case concerning George Sr.'s heirs. He told me Thomas married Susan Elizabeth Kelly Oct, 4, 1857 in Smith Co. TN? I haven't found that marriage online for Smith Co. Susan's parents were John W. Kelly & Mary Ann Smith (all I have is their names). Thomas died in Union Co. IL February 03, 1885 Had a daughter Mary Ann b. ca 1858 Smith Co. TN and a daughter Ruth b. 1859 Smith Co. TN 1850 Smith co. TN Boston George, 56 b. NC Boston Matilda 22 b. rest b. TN Boston George 26 Boston Elizabeth 23 Boston Mary 16 Boston Sarah 14 Boston David C. 2 Boston Rebecca 11/12 Boston Thomas 10 (I believe this is a grandson, not son of George Sr.?) 1860 Smith Co. TN Boston Canzady 1 b. TN Boston Berry 19 b. TN Laborer (Could this be Thomas from 1850?) Elizabeth Boston married Willis Washington Russell Jan. 21, 1851 Smith Co. By 1860 they are in Johnson Co. Indiana. ftp://ftp.us-census.org/pub/usgenweb/census/in/johnson/1860/pg00547.txt I don't have them in 1870 census. 1880 (Is this Willis & Elizabeth Boston?) MO but I'm not positive. Sometime aft 1880 Willis Russell married his brother David's widow Sarah Ann Porter Russell. David Russell died Newton Co. Missouri 1873. If Thomas was Andrew's son, David C. Boston wouldn't have been his uncle as stated in Thomas civil war pension (according to a descendant). Ruth would be my best guess as Thomas mother as the other girls all seem to young? But I don't think we will find proof anyway, can only make a guess! Mary Knight ......if David C. Boston is an Uncle, then Thomas would have to be a son of a brother of David. Since Christian wasn't born till 1861, he's out! That leaves George Boston, Jr. b. 1824 (only other brother or step-brother)! I have no spouse or children listed for him. The other possibility is that Thomas was an illegitamate son of one of David's sisters (or step-sisters). The oldest step-sister of David would be Elizabeth, b. abt 1827. Think 13 is a bit young! The above makes me lean toward George Boston's brother, Andrew Boston b. 1807. Have no further info on him except he died aft 1850 possibly in Ky????
