1) This 1880 Census below is George Washington Boston, Sr and his second wife, Matilda Parkhurst. His daughter, Sallie, age 44 is by his first wife Juda Cope, who died in 1844. Sallie was married to a "Dismang", Mary Dismang, being her child... In April 17, 1845, George, Sr married Matilda Parkhurst. So Christian, Jacob, etc her by her. 2) D C Boston also spoken of below, is George's and Matilda's oldest child. David C Boston, Sr was b. c 1847-48 and married Delilah D Thomas. I think this George was the son of the George who was born in 1793/1794 in North Carolina and moved to Smith County, Tennessee. I think there was a generation missing in Ray's information. Could the suit that D. C. Boston is involved in be a suit concerning the George who was born in 1793/1794? 1880 Smith County, Tennessee, US Census George Boston - Head of Household - 66 years old - Miller - born in TN - Father born in NC - Mother born in VA Matilda - Wife - 53 years old - House keeping - born in TN - Father born in TN - Mother born in VA Sallie J. ? - daughter - 44 years old - born in Tennessee Mary ? - granddaugher - 19 years old - born in Tennessee Christian - Son - 16 years old - born in Tennessee Jacob - Son - 6 years old - born in Tennessee A. Jenkins - 19 years old - Hireling - born in Tennessee (There is a David Boston - 32 yeas old - living next door, who I think is George’s son.) George must have been married twice because he had a daughter who was too old to be the daughter of his wife. Nancy
