Thanks to all who made my trip to Gordonsville a success. I want to especially thank John & Retta for showing me the best in Southern Hospitality! My mother & I loved every second we spent in Smith Co. I got some great pictures of family gravestones and filled in some data in my family files. It was a kick listening to my mother talk of when she visited as an 8 year old--the sights around the area brought back lots of memories that I will be able to include in my family history. If you haven't had a chance to go to the Museum operated by the Smith County Historical Society, put it on the top of your list. It is a truly enjoyable experience.
