    3. http://www.rootsweb.com/~usgenweb/tn/smith/census/1880/115-23.gif Here is what I'm looking at Nancy, it is difficult to read but I'm pretty sure it says George is 86. Mary K. Mary - The 1880 Smith County Census shows that Jacob's father was George Boston, born in 1814. I think this George was the son of the George who was born in 1793/1794 in North Carolina and moved to Smith County, Tennessee. I think there was a generation missing in Ray's information. Could the suit that D. C. Boston is involved in be a suit concerning the George who was born in 1793/1794? 1880 Smith County, Tennessee, US Census George Boston - Head of Household - 66 years old - Miller - born in TN - Father born in NC - Mother born in VA Matilda - Wife - 53 years old - House keeping - born in TN - Father born in TN - Mother born in VA Sallie J. ? - daughter - 44 years old - born in Tennessee Mary ? - granddaugher - 19 years old - born in Tennessee Christian - Son - 16 years old - born in Tennessee Jacob - Son - 6 years old - born in Tennessee A. Jenkins - 19 years old - Hireling - born in Tennessee (There is a David Boston - 32 yeas old - living next door, who I think is George’s son.) George must have been married twice because he had a daughter who was too old to be the daughter of his wife.
