Gregory, b. ca 1863, Smith County, TN Father - unknown Her grandparents: Robert Hawkins Gregory b. 1836, TN bur. Bethpage Cemetery, Sumner County, TN and Mary Gregory (daughter of Pitts Gregory???) Her great-grandparents: Thomas "Big Tom" Gregory and Elizabeth "Bettie" Gregory (daughter of Bry Gregory) I don't know much more at this time, although I have been able to get some information off the WorldConnect website. John Phillip and Maggie Gregory Burris were the parents of 8 children, with 4 living to adulthood. My grandmother was the last child, Mary Frances Burris, b. 1915, d. 1988. Mary Frances m. Jesse O. Brown on 06-AUG-1930 in Indianapolis, IN. They had my father, J. O. Brown, who is still living. Thanks to anyone who might know something about the Robert Hawkins Gregory family. Danene, I cannot give you a lot of information but did want to tell you the following: Your Martha d/O Robert Hawkins Gregory had a brother George Allen Gregory who married Oceanie Paris Shoulders, sister to my grandmother Ophelia Shoulders. Ophelia died at a young age and my mother went to live with George Allen and Ocenia Gregory. Mother has told me several times about Uncle George visiting with his niece "Mag" Burris. I had no information on Martha except she was born ca. 1863. Hope we can figure this out.
