Winship Blackstone Petty was not born until 1834 and he married Charlotte Greer. He was a brother to William Petty b. 1814 who married Elizabeth Dunlap. According to this book William Petty b. 1814 died in a hospital in Nashville about 1870. Elizabeth then came to Smith Co. and on Sept 10, 1887 in Smith Co. married William's brother Henderson B.
