    3. Re Willie H. Brooks married to Miss Belle Holland of Bagdad. In my files I have this Willie listed as William (Willie) VANCE Brooks d 14 May 1900 and married on 5 Mar 1886 to Mary Belle Holland. Willie & Mary Belle did have 2 children, sons 1) Walter Brooks 1 may 1890 - 26 Aug 1973 and he married Willie B. Smith 2 Jan 1907 - 10 Dec 1992. They had son R. V. Brooks b 18 Nov 1920. 2) Orvil Lee Brooks 13 Feb 1895 - 9 Mar 1969. He married Susie Taylor b 29 Oct 1896 - d 5 Apr 1989. They had son William (Bill) Brooks b 18 Nov 1915. I believe I may have gotten the William Vance name from a Brooks family member. I have no parentage listed for Willie Brooks. I have a cousin on this Holland line checking for more info. She did state that Mary Belle brought two children (by Willie) into the marriage when she md James C. Hackett. (Matches what I have above.) She was not aware of a third marriage of J.C.H. as she thought JCH had died while married to Mary Belle....will send more when she and I get more checking done.
