If there is a Macon County marriage book, perhaps someone could check on a marriage for her (in point of fact, I would be most grateful, to have a list of all Macon Co, TN, Kemp marriages with names of bride, groom and marriage date, if such a list exists or can be easily constructed.) This is all I know of Wade M. Kemp, his wives, and his sole child by his first wife. I would appreciate learning more about all concerned, if anyone has information to share; corrections always appreciated. Wade M. Kemp (~1833 - 22 Feb. 1877) [1850 USC] [1870 USC] married Minerva Celia Brockett (3 Mar. 1836 - 3 Mar. 1859), daughter of Elisha and Celia Young Brockett, 9 Oct. 1856, then married Margaret Octavia (Octavia) Thomas (~1833 - ?) [1870 USC] [1880 USC], daughter of William and Nancy Young Thomas, 19 Nov. 1863 [SCTMR]. Minerva was a sister to Merlin/Marlin Luther Brockett, husband of Tabitha F. Kemp and to Cyrus Jackson Brockett and to Benjamin Franklin Brockett. Margaret was sister to Eleanor (Ellen) Thomas, wife of James S. Kemp and had another sister Elizabeth.
