Sue, I don't know the answer to your question but during WWII, we had a Margaret Hesson that boarded with us while her husband B.C. Hesson was in the service. I haven't looked at the old pictures for awhile but I think I remember there was a picture of Margaret. We lived on Shelby Ave. in Nashville, Tn. I was young and I am not sure if Margaret was just a friend of the family but it seems she was related in some way. I know we have Piper's on my father's side (Smith). I did not know Margaret was a Piper!! Shirley, Where on Shelby did you live? My grandparents (from Smith County) lived on Shelby during that time frame! I can't remember the address as I was only about 7 or 8 but I know it was pretty close to Shelby Park. Who were your grandparents? My family are all from Smith & Macon Co. Sue...I am thinking that B. C. and Billy Clark cannot be one and the same person. Billy Clark was born 15 Mar 1930 and during the worst of WWII 1941 he would only have been 11 years old. Billy Clark did die in a Navy plane crash in 1957. My records do not show that he was married to a Margaret. I also went to 537 Smith History and re read that history that Fred Hesson wrote and found no referral to a Margaret (Piper, or otherwise). (My research is with Altie Bell Duke who married Johnnie Hesson). Hi Sue, B. C. Hesson was married to Margaret Piper, daughter of George and Lucy Bell Piper. Margaret was born in about 1925. B. C. was not the son of Fred "Catsox" Hesson. I think B. C. was born in the Ebenezer Community of Macon County. George and Lucy Bell lived on Little Peyton's Creek, in the Pleasant Shade Community, up the road from me, in the 1940s. I remember B. C. flying by my house really making the dust and gravels fly.
